Market Street and Belvoir Street, with its Fenwicks Department store and a host of hairdressers, jewellers, fashion retailers and book shops is the nearest shopping area to the Belmont, literally at the bottom of New Walk turn right up King Street and you'll see Fenwicks straight in front of you.
The Highcross shopping centre opened in September 2008 and includes a huge array of shops and restaurants for the discerning shopper. Highcross includes three department stores, John Lewis, Debenhams and House of Fraser plus boutiques and a twelve screen cinema.
Allandale Road and Francis Street
Allandale Road and Francis Street are home to wonderful independent and exclusive boutiques, jewellers, florists, gift shops and bookstores among others. Perfect for some retail therapy, with plenty of places to stop for a coffee and view your purchases!
Leicester's Belgrave Road area is known as 'The Golden Mile' - a hubbub of silks and spices, Indian restaurants and supermarkets, Asian gold and sweets. This is a great example of Leicester's cosmopolitan landscape and is really fun to visit.
